Introducing Sogoodnight: Makers of Quality Children’s Nightwear
Founded in 2009, Sogoodnight offers a selection of traditional children’s nightwear, available through fairs, home sales and the Sogoodnight website. All our items are made locally, and our production runs are small.
Sogoodnight pyjamas, nighties and babywear are 100 per cent cotton with simple, one-colour patterns, in lightweight cotton for summer and brushed cotton for winter. All nightwear is manufactured in England, and meet UK fire retardant standards. Currently, the sizes range from 0-12 years for boys and girls.
Cecily Gatacre, founder of Sogoodnight: “I have strong memories of wearing long, soft, cotton nighties as a child and I still have some excellently made items which my children wear. Finding the equivalent today, however, has proved almost impossible. Having searched for nightwear for my own children (three girls and a boy), I discovered a gap at the quality end of the market which led me to found Sogoodnight.
I have a background as a scenic artist for film and theatre, and have worked more recently as an interior designer. I focus very closely on the pattern designs and colours, and hand print the original designs myself.
I see our customers as parents who are looking for quality childrens’ nightwear and grandparents and godparents who are looking for original, well-made items to give as gifts.”
According to the Daily Telegraph Saturday Magazine , Gatacre manages to “hit upon the perfect crisp yet soft cotton for her collection of nine delightful designs.”
